There is one singel point wich sadly seems to be forgotten by most players.
Sure, it may not be exactly grieving what this corp did. At least to some very fine definitions somewhere.
But, did any of you guys ever hear of "playing friendly" ? Yes I know those discussions that EVE is PvP and all that. That is not the point here. The point is, why do I have to harass people (even if it's allowed and within game mechanics) that clearly have no fun with that? Why does this corp not stop it's stupid war dec and decc some other corp? What would they loose? Nothing. Even if you have the right to "pwn" someone in one way or another, do you allways HAVE to do that? To be honest, I think that this kind of thinking is highly dangerous and I can only hope, that those people don't live that way in Real-Life. Reminds me of the bully in school, that kicked smaler children just because he could.

Please at least try to remain civil. ;)
I know interactin in any way is what makes EVE great. And Im not here to say PvP or Wardeccing should end. Players should just sometimes try to see a point from the others point of view. It may be that this wardeccing corp has perfect causes for it's war (maybe souvereignity or mining grounds conflicts). But if the only reason realy is to force a non-RP corp to post on the forums... Come one, what a weak excuse for bullying someone around is that? Do you realy have to do that?
And yes, RL has nothing to do with In-Game, especialy for RPers (Im one myself), but you are interacting with real people, so you should at least think about your In-Game actions if you cause RL trouble (like people quitting because of you). And even if you have all rights in the world to do what you did.

Edited by: Mort Sinious on 20/03/2006 12:50:11 When do players of EVE finaly notice, that playing a multiplayergame doesnt mean you have to fight anyone in range and hopefully weaker player, but that you also have to think about such mystic things as Etiquette and Morals. Yes, you don't have to kick that whimp with 10M less SP than you, just because you can. You may also give him a helping hand and leave him be. And not because of CCP rules, but because a normal person who takes part in a community should do so all by himself.

Edited by: Mort Sinious on 20/03/2006 13:16:29 @Telemicus Yep, you have a point there. And I sure don't want anything nerfed or any CCP interaction. People in EVE should resolve way more problems themselfes. And I also know that this Thread is only one incident of many many completly cool ones. So I might be that Meta-Gamer you described (at least to a small ammount) but that's still better than being that "I kill you because I can, and that's what EVE is all about" player. Im painting black and white here, but many on this forum do that. :(

Quote: get jumped by a pirate, fight ensues and he warps off on fire. Yet afterwards we can have a perfectly friendly conversation
If that would be the case more often, I would immidiately shut up and be a happy eve player. This just doesn't happen that often.

@Layzun I think Morals belong to humans. But I guess not many in this thread see it that way. Not my problem ;)
